Abstract

Tarsal coalition is uncommon condition in childhood foot disorders. Historically tarsal coalitions are well described in literature, but only since wide usage of computed and magnetic resonance tomography it became possible to diagnose these conditions in early stages. Etiological theories of disorder are discussed. Clinical, x-ray and tomographical signs are summarized. Differentiated approaches to nonsurgical and surgical treatment are described and discussed.
