Author Guidelines

Author Guidelines are based on the CSE's White Paper on Promotion Integrity in Scientific Journal Publications, 2012 Update and on the ICMJE Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals, December 2016.

Aims and objectives of journal "Traumatology and Orthopedics of Russia":

  • · to inform Russian and foreign readers about new experimental and clinical studies in the traumatology and orthopedics,
  • · to provide a platform for scientific discussion and consensus on the controversial aspects of the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the musculoskeletal system in adults and children,
  • · to assist in expanding cooperation between Russian and foreign experts in the traumatology and orthopedics for the formation of modern traumatology and orthopedic practice.

 

The journal accepts for the publication high-quality work performed in compliance with the principles of evidence-based medicine.

The journal publishes:

• editorial articles;
• original articles containing the results of clinical and experimental studies;
• analytical and systematic reviews of literature on relevant topics of interest to a wide readership based on a critical analysis of modern papers;
• descriptions of rare clinical cases with their discussion.

 

For the most interesting articles publishes comments of leading experts in this field.
The journal accepts materials from postgraduates, applicants, doctoral students, research staff, doctors and experts in this field. 

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR PREPARING AN ARTICLE

By submitting an article to the journal "Traumatology and Orthopedics of Russia", you confirm that:

- the article has not been published previously and is not currently under consideration in another journal;

- all of the co-authors agree with the current version of the article.

All submitted articles should be prepared in according with international standards of good publishing practice.

The editors of the journal “Traumatology and Orthopedics of Russia” recommends to the authors use checklists and flow diagrams developed by international organizations in the field of healthcare.

The EQUATOR library (Enhancing the Quality and Transparency of Health Research) provides recommendations on the preparation and design of scientific articles, the ethics of publications, and also guidelines for editors and reviewers.

THE TITLE PAGE

Name of the author(s)

The journal "Traumatology and Orthopedics of Russia" adheres to the next authorship criteria developed by ICMJE and COPE:

  • a significant contribution to the development of a research concept or design; or collection, analysis or interpretation of data;
  • writing the text of an article or editing it for important intellectual content;
  • approval of the final version of the article for publication;
  • consent to be responsible for all aspects of the article, ensuring proper investigation and resolution of issues related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work.

Any changes in the list of authors after submitting the article to the editorial office must be approved by all authors. The responsible author is the contact person between the publisher and other authors. He should inform the co-authors and involve them in making decisions on publication issues (for example, in the case of a response to the comments of reviewers);

The names of people who do not meet the criteria for authorship, but who provided support in writing the article, are indicated in the "Gratitude" section.

When indicating the authors of the article, the surname should be indicated after the initials of the name and patronymic (I.I. Vasiliev, V.V. Ivanov).

 

Authors’ affiliation

The affiliation includes the next information: the full official name of the organization, city and country. If authors from various institutions participated in the preparation of the article, it is necessary to indicate the affiliation of each author to a particular institution using a superscript.

 

The title of the article

The title of the article should correspond to its content. The title of the article should be informative, concise, consistent with the scientific style of the text, contain the main keywords that characterize the research topic and the content of the work. Readers and search engines should easily understand the title. Abbreviations and formulas are not recommended.

The abstract

Recommended volume of structured abstract: 200-250 words. The abstract should contain the same sections as the article: a brief justification of relevance, purpose or hypothesis, methods, results, conclusion. The abstract should not contain abbreviations (the exception of the well-known) and references to the literature.

Keywords

It is recommended to cite 5-7 words or phrases on the topic of the article. It is advisable that the keywords do not duplicate the title of the article, but supplement it. To select keywords, you can use the Medical Subject Headings keyword thesaurus to index articles.

 

THE BODY OF THE ARTICLE

The journal adopted the international format of IMRAD articles (Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion), which is required for publications based on empirical research.

The introduction should include the purpose of the study with imperative references to relevant the previous works.

The description of the methods in section "Materials and Methods" should be as short as possible but sufficient for replay the work by a qualified investigator. This section should also contain the names of the manufacturer (including the country) of the devices, endoprosthesis, materials. The trade names of drugs should be replaced by the name of the active agent. Just only new manipulations should be described in detail; previously published manipulations should merely be referred to by literature.

 If the manipulation is not generally known, it is appropriate to mention the principles of the work and the author(s).

The Results are usually presented in illustrations and tables; some results that do not need documentation can be given in the text.

The extensive discussion should not be given in this section and should be limited just to explain the logical links between the described experiments.

It is encouraged to use the diagrams to illustrate the major results. The methods, which used for statistical processing, should be listed. If a statistical software was used for data processing, it is necessary to indicate its name, version, name of the developer-company and country.

The discussion should be related to interpretation, not to summarizing.

 

Funding: (government funding, grants, sponsorship)

 

Gratitude

In this section, the authors are grateful to the people who participated in the work on the article, but are not its authors. Participation in the work on the article implies: recommendations for improving the research, providing space for research, departmental control, single types of analysis, providing reagents / patients / animals / other materials for the research.

 

Conflict of interests

The author must notify the editor of the following real or potential conflicts of interest:

• support for research by commercial companies, authors should describe the role of the sponsor in carrying out the study and in deciding to publish its results. If the source of funding was not involved in the process as described above, authors should also indicate this.

• relations with commercial companies, which may be considered as having interest in the field of issues covered in the article;

• non-financial links related to the article submitted to the press.

If there is no conflict of interest, authors should also report this. Example wording: "The author declares no conflict of interests."

 

Information about authors

Full names, academic degree, academic title, position and name of the institution in which the author works, email.

  

PICTURES

The illustrations should be inserted into the text of the article to facilitate editing and reviewing, also should be presented as separate files in TIFF or JPEG format with a real resolution of 300-600 dpi.

The illustrations must be downloaded as additional files when submitting articles through a personal account on the journal’s website. Image files should be given a name corresponding to the number of the picture in the text.

The illustrations should be clear and contrasting, their total number should not exceed 12 (all X-ray pictures, photographs in grouped illustrations are taken into account). Not necessary to combine separate images into collages, each should be downloaded as a separate file.

All figures (photographs, X-ray pictures, graphs, charts, diagrams) should have sequential numbering, and the numbering of digital files should correspond to their number in the text of the article. Triple numbering is not allowed, for example fig. 1 a-1, 2 b-2, etc.

Charts and graphs should be presented in Excel files.

Each figure in the text of the article must have a link. Symbols, arrows, or letters used in photographs should contrast with the background. Captions for illustrations are located directly below the picture. All designations, inscriptions in figures (including graphs and diagrams) and figure captions should be presented in Russian and English. Signatures to micrographs must indicate the staining method and magnification (for example, staining with hematoxylin and eosin; × 200).

You can borrow the illustrations without permission of the copyright holder only if this is an open access article distributed in accordance with the terms of the Creative Commons CC BY license, which allows unlimited use, distribution, and reproduction provided that the original work is correctly cited. In other cases, you must provide written permission from the copyright holder for reproduction.

TABLES

It is allowed to place no more than 6 tables in the text of the article. Including data in tables instead of the text can reduce the volume of the article. The tables must be sequentially numbered in the order of their first mention in the text; each table should have a name and a link to it in the text. It should be clarified which parameters of statistical variability were estimated, for example, standard deviation or standard error of the mean. Do not duplicate the data contained in the table, in the text of the article, in graphs or charts.

 

REFERENCES

The number of literature sources in the list for original articles should be 30-60 titles, for literature reviews –60-100.

The journal uses the Vancouver citation format, which implies a reference to the source of literature in square brackets and the subsequent mention of sources in the list of references in the order of mention in the text.

Only peer-reviewed sources are included in the list of references (articles from scientific journals and chapters from monographs). It is not recommended to include patents, textbooks, study guides, state standards, statistical reports, articles in socio-political newspapers, websites and blogs in the list of references. If you need to refer to such information, you should put the source information in a footnote. Instead of references to dissertations or abstracts of dissertations, reference should be made to published articles by this author. References to articles accepted for publication but not yet published should be marked with the words “in print”. Authors must obtain written permission to link to such documents and confirmation that they are accepted for publication.

In the description of the source should be represented by at least 6 first authors.

Shorten the name of English journals should be in accordance with the catalog of PubMed journals (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/nlmcatalog/journals).

In the description of the source should be indicated DOI when present.

The procedure of submitting an article to the editors

The main way to submit the article to the editor is to upload through the personal account on the journal’s website.

Anniversary articles, information on upcoming and past symposia can be sent by e-mail in the form of attached files to the editorial office: journal@rniito.org. The date of receipt of the article by e-mail is considered the date of its receipt by the editor.

When submitting the article, the following files must be downloaded:

1. The main file

Manuscripts submitted to the editorial office undergo a double-blind peer review process, in accordance with which they are sent to experts without specifying the authors and their institutional affiliation. So that, the main file should not contain the names of the authors and the names of institutions. It should consist of the next sections:

Title of the article

A structured resume with a volume of 250-400 words, which sets out the summary of the article: relevance, aim of the research, material and methods, results (specific data and their statistical significance) and conclusions. According to the author’s summary, the essence of the article should be understandable, factual data, discovered interconnections and patterns should be given in it. Abbreviations should be avoided.

Keywords or phrases (from 3 to 6) that will contribute to the proper indexing of the article. It is recommended to use terms from the list of medical subject headings U.S. National Library of Medicine Medical Subject Headings

• Title of the article.

• Surnames and initials of authors, always list the author's surname before listing his or her initials.

• The full name of the institution or hospital where the author or authors work and departmental affiliation; city, country. If authors work in different organizations, their affiliation to the institution is indicated by numbers.

• Email address and mobile phone number of all the authors.

3. Complete data on the authors, which necessary for processing the journal in the Russian Science Citation Index: full name, academic degree, academic title, position and name of the institution in which the author works, email addresses.

6. License Agreement

According to the IV part of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, which has entered into force, since 2012, between the authors of the articles and the editors of the journal, a License Agreement has been concluded to provide the publisher with the right to use the work. An electronic version of the contract filled out and signed by all authors should also be downloaded as an additional file.

8. Pictures in JPEG format. When downloading files, be sure to indicate the number of the figure corresponding to its number in the text of the article.

 

The interaction between the editorial board and an authors

The editorial board communicate with the corresponding author, however letters can be sent to all authors for whom the email address is indicated.

All of the articles presented in the journal “Traumatology and Orthopedics of Russia” are pre-screened by the executive secretary of the journal for compliance with formal requirements. At this stage, the article may be return to the authors for revision with a request to correct errors or add missing data. Also, at this stage, the article may be rejected due to inconsistency with the objectives of the journal, lack of the originality, lack of the scientific significance.

After the first test, the executive secretary passes the article to the expert of biomedical statistics to verify the statistical analysis correctness.

If the answer is yes, the article is sent through the electronic editorial board to a few reviewers (usually two) with an indication of the review period. A notification is sent to the author. In the arguable cases, the editor may appoint an extra review. However, the chief editor makes the final decision.

If a decision has been made to accept an article for publication, the editors notify the authors of the publication deadlines.

If it is necessary to modify an article, reviews and comments from reviewers are sent to the authors. There are 2 months for revision of the article. If during this time the authors did not submit a revised version of the article and did not notify the editors of the planned actions, the article is removed from registration and transferred to the archive.

If a decision has been made to refuse to publish an article, the editorial decision and the text of the reviews are sent to the author.

The final version is sent to the responsible (contact) author of the article accepted for publication, which he must check. The answer is expected from the authors for 2 days. If there is no reaction from the author, the layout of the article is considered approved.

 

The order for reviewing editor’s or reviewer’s decision

If the author does not agree with the opinion of the reviewer and/or editor or with individual comments, he can dispute the decision. For this, the author must reasonably write his position on the issue under consideration. The editors facilitate the re-submission of articles that could potentially be accepted, but were rejected due to the significant changes or the collection of additional data, and are ready to explain in detail what needs to be corrected in the article in order to be accepted for publication.

 

Editorial actions in case of plagiarism,

fabrication or falsification of data

In case of the unfair author’s behavior, plagiarism, fabrication or falsification of the data, the editors are guided by COPE guidance. By “unfair behavior” the journal “Traumatology and Orthopedics of Russia” means any actions of a scientist, including improper handling of objects of research or intentional manipulation of scientific information, in which it ceases to reflect observational studies, as well as the behavior of a scientist that does not meet accepted ethical and scientific standards.

The journal “Traumatology and Orthopedics of Russia” does not include honest errors or honest differences in the plan, conduct, interpretation or evaluation of research methods or results, or unfair behavior unrelated to the scientific process as “unfairness”.

 

Correction and retraction policy

In case of finding errors in the text of the article that affect its perception, but do not distort the stated research results, the authors can corrected it by replacing the pdf-file of the article and indicating the mistake in the article file itself and on the article page on the journal website.

In case of finding mistakes in the text of the article, which distort the results of the study, or in the case of plagiarism, detection of unfair behavior of the author (authors), related to falsification and/or fabrication of the data, the article may be retracted. The editorial staff, author, organization or private person can initiate retraction of this article. The retracted article is marked with the sign “The article is retracted”, information on the reason for the article retraction is posted on the article page and sent to the databases in which the journal is indexed.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with each of the following items, and submissions that do not adhere to these guidelines may be returned to the authors.

  • Absence of plagiarism. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).

  • Correct manuscript format. Manuscript file format is Microsoft Word (has the extension *.doc, *.docx, *.rtf). The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in "For Authors" section.

  • Cover letter. All the required supporting documents will be submitted together with the manuscript. Authors guarantee to upload scanned original of the filled cover letter in PDF. A cover letter signed by all authors

  • Supplementary files. The authors have prepared for transfer to the editor within the manuscript submission process:

    • Graphic files (photos, satellite images, graphics, etc.) - all in separate jpg or tiff-files.
    • Data (raw-data, statistic analyzis and so on) and/or media-files.
  • The authors confirm that:

    • all participants who have made a significant contribution to the study are presented as co-Authors;
    • those who did not participate in the study are not listed as co-Authors;
    • all co-Authors have seen and approved the final version of the work and agreed to submit it for publication.
  • Please, remove the authors' names from the title of the article and other parts of the document to ensure the anonymity of reviewing.

 

Copyright Notice

Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:

  1. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal exclusive license to first publication.
  2. Authors are able to distribute the manuscript and/or the article in accordance with Self-Archiving policy of the journal (see details).

Traumatology and Orthopedics of Russia

Eco-Vector, represented by its CEO Evgeniy Schepin and acting on the basis of the Charter (hereinafter referred to as the Publisher), on the one hand, offers an indefinite circle of persons (hereinafter referred to as the Author), and on the other hand, hereinafter jointly referred to as the Parties, to execute this agreement (hereinafter referred to as the Agreement) on the publication of scientific article (hereinafter referred to as the Article) in a scholarly journal “Traumatology and Orthopedics of Russia” (further-the Journal) in accordance with the conditions stated below.

 

I. General Provisions

  1. This Agreement, in accordance with clause 2 of Article 437 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, is a public offer (hereinafter referred to as the Offer) requiring full and unconditional acceptance (Acceptance), which, in accordance with Article 438 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, means the sending by the Author of his/her materials by way of uploading the same to the online electronic system designed to accept manuscripts for consideration, and subsequently posted in the corresponding section of the Journal’s website on the Internet information and telecommunications network (hereinafter referred to as the Internet).
  2. In accordance with the current legislation of the Russian Federation regarding the observance of copyright on electronic information resources, all materials found in a website, including submitted and published in electronic journals, may not be reproduced in whole or in part in any form (electronic or printed) without the prior written permission of the Publisher. Prior permission can be given by publishing an article in the open access with Creative Commons license. The journal requires license users to reference the original source, i.e., the publication, if the Author permits use of the public materials in the context of other documents.

 

II. Terms used in the Agreement

  1. “Author” refers to an individual (or individuals) whose creative work has led to the creation of the manuscript of a scientific Article, or to a representative of these persons.
  2. “Manuscript” is the result of intellectual activity in the form of a scientific work containing text, graphic and numerical data, audiovisual information, program code and other elements submitted by the Author for publication in the Journal; it is also the mean “a draft of an Article submitted by the Author to be published in the Journal”.
  3. “Offer” is the current agreement (an offer to the author for the publication of an Article in the Journal).
  4. “Publication” is the process of placement of an Article in the Journal.
  5. “Article” is the manuscript that has been published in the Journal (after successful selection, editing, type-setting, copyediting, proofreading, translation).
  6. “Acceptance of the offer” refers to the full and unconditional acceptance of the offer on the terms specified in paragraph 3 of this agreement (the Author accepts offer by submitting a Manuscript to the Publisher via the online electronic submission system on the Journal’s Internet website).
  7. “Journal” is a scientific peer-reviewed periodical registered as a mass media entity in the Roskomnadzor register of the Russian Federation and ISSN-center.
  8. “Submission” is an electronic appeal of the Author to the Publisher for the publication of an Article in the Journal by uploading the manuscript and accompanying materials to the online electronic submission system on the Journal’s Internet website).
  9. “Publisher” refers to Eco-Vector, which is the Publisher of the journal.
  10. Article metadata includes the information that are intended for inclusion in International Scientific Databases and search engines, namely the following:
    • title of the Article;
    • information about each of the Authors (surname and first name; patronymic; place of work with the postal address indicated, contact information (e-mail));
    • abstract;
    • keywords;
    • thematic rubricator: UDC (Universal Decimal Classification) or other library and bibliographic classification and subject indexes;
    • list of references.
  11. “Editorial board” is the creative team that prepares the journal for publication.
  12. “Parties” refers to the Author and the Publisher.
  13. “Author Guidelines” are the requirements for Articles published in the Journal, posted in the “For authors” section of the Journal’s Internet website.

 

III. Subject of the Agreement (Offer)

  1. Under this agreement, the Author grants the Publisher, free of charge for the entire period of validity in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, an exclusive license to use the Article created by the former for publication in the Journal, as well as the rights to use the article in the following ways:
    • Reproduction of the Article or its sections or parts, as well as the metadata of the Article in any languages, in any material form, including on paper and electronic media, as a separate work in Journals and/or databases (local or in the Internet) of the Publisher and/or other persons, at the discretion of the Publisher;
    • Distribution of the Article or its sections or parts, as well as the metadata of the Article in any languages, on any medium as part of the Journal and/or databases of the Publisher or other persons, at the discretion of the Publisher, or as an independent work around the world whether on Open-Access terms or for a fee without remuneration to the Author;
    • Making the Article or any of its sections or parts, as well as the Article’s metadata in any languages, publicly available in such a way that any person can access the Article from any place, including via the Internet, and at any time of their own choosing;
    • Granting permission/s for the use of the Article or its sections or parts, as well as its metadata in any languages, to third parties with notice to the Author made by posting relevant information on the Journal’s website, without paying remuneration to the Author;
    • Processing the Article (i.e., editing, correcting, annotating, tagging, translating to any languages, typesetting) and using the revised (translated) Article in the aforementioned ways.
  2. Other rights not directly transferred to the Publisher under this Agreement, including patent rights to any process, method etc., described by the Author in the Article, as well as trademark rights, are reserved for the Author.
  3. The territory where the rights to the Article are allowed to be used is the whole world.
  4. The validity of this Agreement commences only if the manuscript of the Article is accepted for publication in the Journal and only from the moment of sending a notification of acceptance of the Article for publication to the Author from the official e-mail of the Journal.
  5. The rights are granted by the Author to the Publisher free of charge; the publication of the Article in the Journal does not entail any financial deductions to the Author.
  6. If the Publisher decides to reject the Submission or refuse to publish the Article in the Journal (i.e., retraction of the published Article), this Agreement becomes invalid. The decision to refuse publication will be sent to the Author at the e-mail address specified in the Submission.

 

IV. Rights and Duties of the Parties

  1. The Author guarantees that:
    • s/he holds the copyright the exclusive rights to the materials submitted to the Publisher as part of the manuscript of the Article;
    • the rights granted to the Publisher under this agreement have not been previously transferred and will not be transferred to third parties in the future during the duration of the Agreement;
    • the manuscript contains all references to the cited authors and/or publications (materials) provided for under the current copyright legislation;
    • the Author has obtained all the necessary permissions for all information and other materials s/he holds no copyright to and that are used in the manuscript of the Article;
    • the Article manuscript contains only materials permitted to be published in the open press in accordance with the current legislative acts of the Russian Federation, and its publication and distribution will not lead to the disclosure of secret (confidential) information (including state secrets);
    • the Author has informed co-authors about the terms of this Agreement and has received their consent to execute this Agreement under the terms provided for in the Agreement.
  2. The Author carries certain obligations under the terms of the Agreement:
    • s/he should prepare and submit the manuscript of the Article in accordance with the Author Guidelines posted on the Journal’s website;
    • the Author should not use an electronic copy of the Article for commercial purposes and in other journal publications without the consent of the Publisher;
  3. in the process of preparing a manuscript for publication, the Author is obligated to undertake the following:
    • make corrections to the text of the manuscript that have been marked by the peer-reviewers and accepted by the editorial board, and/or as necessary, upon the request of the Publisher and the editorial board, finalize the manuscript of the Article;
    • revising and proofreading the manuscript of the Article in accordance with the editorial recommendations;
    • suggest only the minimum of corrections to the type-setted (layout) Article.
  4. The Author has the following rights and duties:
    • Use preprint or prior-to publication versions of an unpublished Article in the form and content accepted by the Publisher for publication in the Journal. Such prior-to-publish versions can be placed as electronic files on the personal websites of the Author (co-authors) or on the protected external websites of the employers of the Author; however, the Author cannot use the unpublished version(s) for commercial sale or for systematic external distribution by a third party (i.e., post on social media). The author or co-authors must, in turn, carry out certain duties, namely:
      • include the following warning in the prior-to-publish version: “This is prior-to-publish version of the article accepted for publication in (Journal’s name), © Eco-Vector (year)”;
      • provide the corresponding electronic link to the Publisher’s website at https://journals.eco-vector.com/ and/or via the DOI.
    • Copy or transfer a copy of the published Article in whole or in part to colleagues free of charge for their personal or professional use, for the promotion of academic or scientific research, or for informational purposes of the Author’s employer.
    • Use materials from a published Article in a book written by one of the co-authors.
    • Use figures, tables and text excerpts from the Article for his or her (or co-authors’) own training purposes, or to include them in other published works in printed or electronic format by a third party, or to submit them in electronic format on an internal computer network, or on the public website of the Author (co-authors) or his/her employer.
    • Include the Article in educational collections for use in the classroom, either for free distribution to the Author’s (co-authors’) students or in electronic format on a local server for access by students as part of the training course, as well as for internal training programs at the institution of the Author’s employer.
  5. The Publisher, for its part, is obliged to:
    • publish the Author’s article in the Journal in printed and electronic form in accordance with the terms of this Agreement;
    • if necessary, as so decided by the Journal’s editorial board, provide the Author with the proofreading of the manuscript and make a reasonable editing;
    • provide to the Author the unlimited access to the final electronic version of the published Article (Version of Record) through the online electronic submission system on the Journal’s Internet website;
    • comply with the Author’s rights as provided for by the current legislation, as well as protect them and take all necessary measures to prevent copyright infringement by third parties.
  6. The Publisher has a right to:
    • conduct an expert evaluation of the manuscript (peer-reviewing and editorial evaluation) and invite the Author to make the necessary changes (revisions) to the manuscript;
    • provide editing, copyediting, type-setting, proofreading, tagging, indexation and translation of the Article’s manuscript without altering the main content;
    • in any subsequent authorized use by the Author (and/or other persons) of the Journal and/or Article (including any separate part or fragment thereof), require that a link to the Journal, Publisher, Author or other copyright holders, the title of the Article, the Journal’s volume/issue, and the year of publication be specified in the Journal;
    • post preliminary and/or advertising information about the upcoming publication of the Article in the media and other information sources;
    • make changes to the offer in accordance with the procedure established by the offer.
  7. The editorial board of the Journal, headed by the editor-in-chief, has the exclusive rights to select and/or reject materials sent to the Journal editorial office for publications purposes. The manuscript sent by the Author to the Journal editorial office is not subject to return. The editorial board of the Journal does not enter into correspondence about rejection of submissions.
  8. In all cases not stipulated and not provided for in this agreement, the parties are obliged to be guided by the relevant current laws of the Russian Federation.

 

V. Acceptance of the Offer and Execution of the Agreement. Terms of the Agreement

  1. The Author accepts the Offer by submitting the manuscript on the Article to the Publisher through the electronic manuscript submission system on the Journal's Internet website.
  2. Acceptance of the offer by the author creates an Agreement in writing (Articles 438 and 1286.1 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation) on the terms of the offer.
  3. This Agreement is valid for the duration of the exclusive rights to the Article.
  4. When transferring (alienating) the exclusive right to the Article by the Author to a third party, this Agreement does not terminate.

 

VI. Procedure for changing and terminating the Agreement

  1. The Publisher has the right to unilaterally change the terms of this Agreement, in advance, at least 10 (ten) calendar days before the entry into force of the intended relevant changes, but with notice to the Author through the Journal’s website or by e-mail to the Author’s e-mail address specified in the Author’s Submission. The changes will take effect from the date specified in the relevant notification.
  2. If the Author rejects the changes to the terms of this Agreement, s/he has the right to notify the Publisher by sending a written notification through the online manuscripts submission system, making sure that the same is sent to the official e-mail address of the editorial office.
  3. This Agreement may be terminated prematurely, either by agreement of the parties at any time, or on other grounds provided for in this Agreement.
  4. The Author has the right to unilaterally withdraw from the execution of this Agreement by sending the Publisher a corresponding notification in writing at least 60 (sixty) calendar days in advance before the expected date of publication of the Article in the Journal.
  5. Termination of the Agreement for any reason does not release the parties from liability for any violation of the terms of the Agreement that occurred during the validity period.

 

VII. Responsibility

  1. The parties are responsible for non-fulfillment or improper fulfillment of their obligations under the Agreement in accordance with the current relevant legislation of the Russian Federation.
  2. All information provided by the Author must be reliable. The Author is expected to provide accurate and complete the information to the Publisher. When using false information received from the Author, the Publisher is not responsible for the negative consequences caused by his actions on the basis of the false information provided.
  3. With regard to the content of the Article, the Author is solely responsible for compliance with the requirements of the laws of the Russian Federation pertaining to advertising, copyright and related rights’ protection, protection of trademarks and service marks, and the protection of consumer rights.
  4. The Publisher does not bear any responsibility under the agreement:
    • for any actions that are a direct or indirect result of Author’s illegal actions;
    • for any loss incurred by the Author, regardless of whether the Publisher could have foreseen the possibility of such losses or not.
  5. The Publisher is released from liability for violation of the terms of the Agreement if such violation is caused by force majeure, including actions of state authorities (including the adoption of legal acts), fire, flood, earthquake, other natural disasters, lack of electricity and/or computer network failures, strikes, civil unrest, riots, etc.

 

VIII. Dispute resolution

  1. Disputes and disagreements will be resolved by the parties through negotiations, and in case of failure to reach an Agreement they will strive to seek resolution in accordance with the current legislation of the Russian Federation.
  2. If there are unresolved disagreements, the parties agree to resolve the disputes in court at the jurisdiction covered by the Publisher’s location in accordance with the current legislation of the Russian Federation.

 

IX. Miscellaneous

  1. All notifications, messages, requests, etc. (with the exception of documents that must be sent as originals in accordance with the laws of the Russian Federation) are considered received by the Author if they were transmitted (sent) by the Publisher through the Journal’s website (including by publication), fax, e-mail based on the address specified in the Submission, and other communication channels. The parties recognize the legal force of notifications, messages, requests, etc., transmitted (sent) by the above methods.
  2. In the event of claims against the Publisher related to the violation of the exclusive copyright and other intellectual property rights of third parties when creating an article or in connection with the execution of this Agreement by the Author, as well as in connection with the use of the Article by the Publisher in accordance with the Agreement, the author undertakes:
    • To immediately take measures to resolve disputes with third parties soon after receiving Publisher’s notification, and if necessary, enter into legal proceedings on the Publisher’s side and take all appropriate actions needed to exclude the Publisher from the list of defendants;
    • To reimburse the publisher for the legal costs incurred and expenses and losses caused by the application of measures to secure the claim and execute a court decision, and the money paid to a third party for the violation of exclusive copyright and other intellectual property rights, as well as other losses incurred by the Publisher in connection with the Author’s non-compliance with the guarantees provided by them under this Agreement.

Privacy Statement

The editorial Board of the journal and the administration of the website of the journal do not transfer personal information in any way specified by the users when working with the website of the journal to third parties, except for those cases and to the extent specified in the terms of the copyright agreement.

The affiliation work and e-mail address of the authors of the manuscript accepted for publication will be published in the section "information about the authors" of the printed version of the journal and in the section "about the authors" on the page of the article on the website of the journal.

The phone number of the corresponding author will be known only to the editorial Board Secretariat and will only be used in cases of emergency.
