Last two representatives of this family had university education (Robert Johns and Redzhinald Watson-Johns) and in due time headed the British orthopedic association.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Статья посвящена истории британской ортопедии XIX–XX веков на примере одной ливерпульской семье, в которой насчитывалось несколько поколений костоправов, не имевших специального медицинского образования.
