Dislocation is the frequent complication of total hip arthroplasty and the second most common cause for revision surgery, after loosening. There are many causes of unstable total hip arthroplasty: the incorrect positioning of the prosthetic components, multiple revisions, the weakness or imbalance of gluteal muscles, implant design and other factors.

Одним из серьезных осложнений после тотального эндопротезирования тазобедренного сустава являются вывихи. К факторам, влияющим на возникновение вывиха головки тотального эндопротеза тазобедренного сустава, авторы относят: неправильное положение компонентов эндопротеза, неоднократные ревизионные вмешательства на суставе, дисбаланс мышечно-связочного аппарата, дизайн имплантата и другие факторы.
