The advantages include availability, low cost, convenience and reliability. At the same time, it may lead to excessive devascularization of bone fragments with the risk of delayed union or even non-union. Only a comparative study on a large number of patients can confirm or refute these concerns. The comment also contains a brief review of articles on this issue.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>В редакционном комментарии к статье «Новый способ открытой репозиции и удержания костных отломков с использованием пластиковых хомутов-стяжек» обсуждаются достоинства и недостатки предложенного метода. К достоинствам описанного авторами способа можно отнести доступность, дешевизну, удобство и надежность. В то же время временный серкляж может нарушить васкуляризацию костных отломков, что сопряжено с риском замедленной консолидации или несращения. Автор комментария считает, что единственный способ опровергнуть эти сомнения — провести исследование на большом клиническом материале, изучив частоту несращений.
